Richard Dienstbier

Richard Dienstbier

Richard Dienstbier joined the University of Nebraska in 1969, and he served as Psychology Department Chair from 1974-1981. He is the Director of the Social-Personality program and the Series Editor of the Nebraska Symposium on Motivation. His research concerns stress and stress tolerance (especially physiological toughness) and states that are relevant to major traits of personality.
